On Tuesday, July 28th, 2009, at around 3pm PST, Andrew Paone--a.k.a. Rayms Creator, creator of one of the most talented Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: The Abridged Series on YouTube--died in a scuba diving accident.
Here is the said info as told from his brother,
"It was a diving accident. He seemed to have lost his breathing mask, and his father tried to keep him on the surface, but unfortunately he slipped away. His body was not recovered for half an hour."
RaymsCreator is said to have died exactly one month after the interview with T.A.C. (A.K.A. The Abridged Community) which is still posted to this day on YouTube.
Many other abridgers and Interviews, including Lanipator,Borinyukami, Chicknwings, ITouchedYusuke, GYRgadget, Angel Elric, Nowacking, Cassius614, Zeromaster, Shamanstick, ChimeraYuri, TheFullMetalForce, DaJacksterN, kirbamon, VegetaSasuke0, Vegeta3986, ZangyaX, Chromegloss55, and even LittleKuriboh himself had left a comment on his account, and his videos, stating "Rest In Peace Andrew (RaymsCreator)".
There have been various dedication videos to the abridger and many mourns from other various people. Even after his death and departure from the community, more and more people began to subscribe to his account as a way of saying thank you for all the memories that he gave to the community.
Rumor has it that some of the abridgers that help cameo in Rayms' twenty-eigth episode are going to be doing a skype script read off of his final script in memory of him. No speculation as of yet on who is going to play as any of the main roles that Rayms himself voiced as, but this is still indeed rumor.
I urge everyone to leave a line dedicated to this great man.

If there is anything this abridging fan can say, it's that we lost a talented, young entertainer who could have accomplished so much. Though you are no longer with us, Andrew, your legacy shall not be forgotten. Though it is horrible that the abridging community suffered its first loss, we should take peace in the fact that Andrew is now in a better place with no pain or conflict. I hope God is an abridging fan, Andrew, because He could use your sense of humor. - AnistonAnarchist
